The ICC Cricket World Cup 2027 schedule runs from 2 October to 21 November 2027. South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia will host 14 teams, 57 men’s ODI matches and 12 grounds. The tournament starts with a three-match Super Series in Windhoek. India and Australia play the first group match on 7 October in Cape Town. The final is set for 21 November in Johannesburg. This guide follows the ICC’s detailed fixture list, not an older pre-launch timetable.
Quick note on times: Dates, match pairings and host cities below were checked row by row against the ICC’s 57-match list. The ICC’s fixture article does not give a start time in each row. Its match cards list clock times, but the extracted cards do not label the time zone. A few other match listings disagree. We explain what can safely be said in the World Cup 2027 Match Times In IST section rather than guess a time for every match.

ICC Cricket World Cup 2027 Full Schedule
The tables below keep Date, Match and Venue City clear on phones. On a small screen, each match becomes a readable card. The five sections cover all 57 fixtures, with no match removed. Dates are in 2027. Venue cities are given instead of squeezing long stadium names into a narrow column; the ground list appears below.
What the labels mean: QF1, QF2 and QF3 are the second-, third- and fourth-placed teams from the 2027 Qualifier, pending results. The winner of their Super Series joins the group stage. Qualifier A and Qualifier B are unnamed group-stage slots. A1, A2, A3, B1, B2, B3 and AB4 are Super 7 fixture slots. The country shown in parentheses beside a slot is the ICC’s pre-seeded planning team. That team must still qualify for the stage; it is not a guaranteed opponent.

|---|---|---|
| 17 November | Semi-final 1 | Cape Town |
| 18 November | Semi-final 2 | Tshwane |

The supplied schedule example and the ICC’s detailed fixture rows agree on all 57 dates, pairings or seeded slots, and host cities. The section headings and mobile display have been adapted for 4xSports. India vs Pakistan on 7 November is only a possible Super 7 slot, unlike their confirmed group match on 10 October.
India’s World Cup 2027 Group Matches
| Date | Group A Match | Venue City |
|---|---|---|
| 7 October | India vs Australia | Cape Town |
| 10 October | India vs Pakistan | Johannesburg |
| 14 October | India vs Afghanistan | Tshwane (Centurion) |
| 17 October | India vs Qualifier A | Bloemfontein |
| 24 October | Zimbabwe vs India | Victoria Falls |
These five matches are listed in India’s dedicated 4xSports group-schedule guide. India’s squad and Qualifier A’s identity are not yet decided. Do not treat six later A1 Super 7 slots as six more confirmed India games.

World Cup 2027 Match Times In IST
The earliest confirmed example is India vs Australia on 7 October: Cricbuzz’s match details and ESPNcricinfo’s series listing both show 08:00 GMT, which is 1:30 PM IST and 10:00 AM in Cape Town. The three Super Series entries on ESPNcricinfo’s listing also show 08:00 GMT. These examples do not prove every World Cup match starts at 1:30 PM IST.
| Listed GMT Start | Equivalent IST | In South Africa (SAST) | In Zimbabwe And Namibia (CAT) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 08:00 GMT | 1:30 PM IST | 10:00 AM | 10:00 AM |
| 10:30 GMT | 4:00 PM IST | 12:30 PM | 12:30 PM |
This table converts clock times; it does not assign either slot to all 57 games. The ICC match cards show both 08:00 and 10:30 for early fixtures without a visible time-zone label in their extracted text. For example, Cricbuzz’s South Africa–New Zealand match page gives 10:30 GMT on 9 October, but ESPNcricinfo’s series listing currently gives 08:00 GMT for the same match. Treat that start time as not settled across sources, and check the ICC match card again before relying on it. The date and city follow the detailed ICC fixture list.
World Cup 2027 Host Countries And Venues
The ICC has named eight South African grounds, three Zimbabwean grounds and one Namibian ground. The fixture tables use city names to stay legible on mobile. This table shows which stadium each city means; it is not a table of historical ODI averages.
| Country | ICC-Listed City | Host Ground |
|---|---|---|
| South Africa | Johannesburg | The Wanderers Stadium |
| South Africa | Cape Town | Newlands Cricket Ground |
| South Africa | Tshwane / Centurion | SuperSport Park |
| South Africa | Durban | Kingsmead |
| South Africa | Gqeberha | St George’s Park |
| South Africa | Bloemfontein | Mangaung Oval |
| South Africa | Paarl | Boland Park |
| South Africa | KuGompo City | Buffalo Park |
| Zimbabwe | Harare | Harare Sports Club |
| Zimbabwe | Bulawayo | Queens Sports Club |
| Zimbabwe | Victoria Falls | Mosi-oa-Tunya International Cricket Stadium |
| Namibia | Windhoek | Namibia Cricket Ground |
Tshwane is the city used in the ICC fixture rows; the venue list calls the stadium SuperSport Park in Centurion. Gqeberha was known as Port Elizabeth, and KuGompo City as East London. For exact-ground men’s ODI records at all 12 stadiums, read our World Cup 2027 venues guide.
World Cup 2027 Teams And Qualification
The ten direct group-stage qualifiers are India, Australia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, England and Bangladesh. Host places go to South Africa and Zimbabwe; the other eight direct berths came through the ICC ODI rankings at the 30 September 2026 cutoff. Namibia is a co-host, not an automatic group-stage qualifier. Four more tournament teams will emerge from the 2027 World Cup Qualifier. Its winner goes straight into a group; the next three enter the Super Series, and only the winner of that three-team round reaches a group. The other two Super Series teams still count among the tournament’s 14 participants. See the ICC qualification breakdown.
| Group A | Group B |
|---|---|
| India | New Zealand |
| Australia | South Africa |
| Pakistan | Sri Lanka |
| Afghanistan | England |
| Zimbabwe | Bangladesh |
| Qualifier A (name pending) | Qualifier B (name pending) |
The group labels stand for future qualified teams, not countries that can already be named. We will update their names when the ICC confirms them.
How The Super Series, Groups And Super 7 Work
The tournament’s 57 games follow four steps. A three-team Super Series is played in Windhoek on 2, 4 and 6 October; each side plays the other two once. The winner becomes the 12th group-stage team. Next come 30 group matches: two groups of six, with each team playing five games. The top three from each group advance, plus the stronger of the two fourth-placed teams.
Those seven teams begin the 21-match Super 7 on 25 October. Group-stage points do not carry over. Each qualifying side plays six Super 7 matches. The four best teams then reach two semi-finals, and the winners meet in the final. The ICC format explainer describes the stage counts; its fixture release explains the points reset and the seeded slot labels. The pre-seeding helps plan a venue and date; it does not promise a particular team will qualify.
Semi-Final And Final Dates
Semi-final 1 is set for 17 November in Cape Town; semi-final 2 follows on 18 November in Tshwane/Centurion. Both have reserve days. The 21 November final is in Johannesburg, with 22 November as its reserve day if needed. No semi-final pairing is known until the Super 7 standings are complete.

Sources And Update Note
Checked 2 October 2026. The complete 57-row schedule was compared with the ICC’s detailed fixtures. Group and Super 7 rules also come from the ICC format explainer and ICC media release. Start times were checked against match-specific Cricbuzz and ESPNcricinfo listings where noted; conflicting times are not described as confirmed.
