The World Cup 2027 venues are spread across three countries. South Africa has eight grounds, Zimbabwe has three, and Namibia has one. The ICC has scheduled 57 men’s ODI matches from 2 October to 21 November 2027. This guide tells you which ground is in each city, what the verified men’s ODI records at that exact ground say, and which 2027 matches are due there. Each venue has its own profile and record table. For all 57 match dates, see our World Cup 2027 schedule guide.
Important record rule: We use only completed men’s ODIs for win splits, and explain when a source lists ties, no-results or abandoned games. Different providers sometimes count matches differently; those gaps are labelled, not hidden. A match that has not taken place cannot create a ground record. The new Victoria Falls venue has no verified completed men’s ODI scorecard in the sources checked by 2 October 2026. Its old ODI stats are therefore not verified, not zero.

The host city in the ICC’s 57-fixture announcement is not always the name printed by a ground-record database. Tshwane means SuperSport Park in Centurion in this schedule. Historical East London records for Buffalo Park correspond to the ICC’s KuGompo City label. These are identity checks, not licenses to combine different grounds in the same area. Match counts by city were calculated from the 57 official fixture rows: they total 57.
South Africa World Cup 2027 Venues
The ICC venue list names eight South African grounds. Each section below uses a ground-level men’s ODI record, not the country’s combined ODI numbers. The 2027 match examples are scheduled, and the later Super 7 team names depend on qualification.
The Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg: Venue Guide And ODI Records
Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg: A 2027 World Cup Venue. The Wanderers Stadium is Johannesburg’s established international cricket ground in South Africa. The ICC’s venue announcement names Wanderers Stadium (Johannesburg) among the 12 grounds for the 2027 Men’s Cricket World Cup.
The ICC schedule assigns six Johannesburg dates: three group games, two Super 7 slots and the final on 21 November. The group games are India vs Pakistan on 10 October, New Zealand vs Sri Lanka on 20 October, and South Africa vs Sri Lanka on 22 October. The later slots are A2 vs B3 on 25 October and B2 vs A1 on 31 October. Australia, Sri Lanka, South Africa and India are only the ICC’s provisional seeded names for those slots; their Super 7 places are not guaranteed.
Howstat identifies the exact ODI ground as code 066, records its first ODI on 13 December 1992, and lists 56 men’s ODIs through 27 September 2026. It reports an average first-innings score of 242, with 25 wins for teams batting first and 31 wins for teams batting second; it records no no-results. The ground’s ODI record shows both scale and drama. South Africa’s 439/2 against West Indies in January 2015 is the highest team innings listed by Howstat.
The lowest completed innings is 109, recorded twice: Sri Lanka against India in 2003 and Pakistan against South Africa in 1995. The famous 2006 South Africa–Australia match also belongs to this ground: Australia made 434/4 and South Africa chased 438/9, as recalled by Lions Cricket in its official anniversary account. AB de Villiers leads the ESPNcricinfo ground batting table with 732 ODI runs, while Shaun Pollock leads the bowling table with 29 wickets.
These extremes show that the venue has hosted both huge totals and difficult batting days. They describe the historical match record, not a permanent pitch label; conditions, teams, weather, and match context vary. The 2027 tournament should therefore be presented as a new event at a historically high-profile Johannesburg ground, not as a guarantee of any particular scoring pattern.
2027 fixture count: 6 scheduled matches at this city’s ICC-designated ground. The official 57-fixture list has their dates. Group slots marked Qualifier A/B are undecided; all Super 7 country names are conditional.

Newlands Cricket Ground, Cape Town: Venue Guide And ODI Records
Newlands Cricket Ground is the confirmed Cape Town venue for the 2027 men’s ODI World Cup. The first group match here is India against Australia on 7 October. South Africa meet New Zealand on 9 October. Cape Town also hosts three Super 7 slots and the first semi-final on 17 November. The Super 7 team names in the fixture are pre-seeded examples, not promises that those teams will reach the round. The ICC calls the ground Newlands Cricket Ground, and also uses Newlands Stadium in its knockout venue notice.
Howstat’s exact-ground register lists 45 completed men’s ODIs at Newlands, from 1992 to December 2024. Teams batting first won 30 of those games, while chasing sides won 15. The reported average score in the first innings is 239. That is the strongest batting-first split among the figures used in this guide, yet it is an account of past games, not a forecast for 2027. A different provider, Cricbuzz, displays 48 ODIs with a 31–16 result split and a 235 average. We do not merge that dataset with Howstat’s 45-match list or claim to have settled the gap.
South Africa’s 367/5 against Sri Lanka in February 2017 is the highest completed team total in the checked exact-ground record. Pakistan’s 43 against West Indies in February 1993 is the lowest. Jacques Kallis leads the men’s ODI run list at Newlands with 662. Shaun Pollock leads the wicket list with 30. The two extremes show why a single old match cannot define a future pitch.
For a World Cup reader, the opening India–Australia game is confirmed on the ICC’s city-based fixture list. A possible India–Pakistan Super 7 slot on 7 November depends on both teams reaching the later stage in the relevant positions. It is not a second confirmed meeting. The records below are for Newlands itself, using Howstat ground code 045 and ESPNcricinfo ground 174. They do not combine other Cape Town grounds, women’s ODIs, T20Is, or domestic cricket. The actual playing surface should be judged from match-day evidence, not from decades of averages alone.
2027 fixture count: 6 scheduled matches at this city’s ICC-designated ground. The official 57-fixture list has their dates. Group slots marked Qualifier A/B are undecided; all Super 7 country names are conditional.

SuperSport Park, Centurion (Tshwane): Venue Guide And ODI Records
SuperSport Park in Centurion is a confirmed host ground for the 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup. The stadium is in Centurion, within the Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality of South Africa. ICC’s venue announcement names the South African host as “Centurion (Tshwane),” while exact-ground records and venue listings identify it as SuperSport Park, also known as Centurion Park. This is the same ground, not a nearby Pretoria or Johannesburg venue.
The official ICC fixture schedule places five World Cup matches in Tshwane, and the venue listing maps those Tshwane fixtures to SuperSport Park. They are Pakistan v Afghanistan on 8 October 2027, India v Afghanistan on 14 October, Bangladesh v Qualifier B on 23 October, B2 vs AB4 on 27 October in a conditional Super 7 slot (South Africa and England are the pre-seeded names), and the second semi-final on 18 November. The first three are group matches. The South Africa-England pairing uses the published seeding and depends on qualification; the semi-final teams are also not yet known.
Howstat’s exact-ground men’s ODI record shows 60 matches from 11 December 1992 through 15 September 2023. Three had no result, leaving 57 completed matches. In those completed games, teams batting first won 25 and chasing sides won 32. Howstat reports an average first-innings score of 247, rounded to a whole run. The highest men’s ODI innings is South Africa’s 416/5 against Australia in 2023. ESPNcricinfo records the lowest completed innings as South Africa’s 118 against India in 2018. Hashim Amla is the ground’s leading ODI run-scorer with 904, and Shaun Pollock is the leading wicket-taker with 32.
These figures describe the recorded ODI sample; they do not prove a permanent “batting” or “bowling” pitch label. Scores and results vary by match, era, weather, and conditions. The new Victoria Falls ground has no historical SuperSport Park records and is not mixed into this profile. The main naming ambiguity is that ICC uses Tshwane for the host location, whereas statistical databases use Centurion and venue identifiers. The exact codes are Howstat GroundCode 075, ESPNcricinfo ground 902, and Cricbuzz venue 75.
2027 fixture count: 5 scheduled matches at this city’s ICC-designated ground. The official 57-fixture list has their dates. Group slots marked Qualifier A/B are undecided; all Super 7 country names are conditional.

Kingsmead Cricket Ground, Durban: Venue Guide And ODI Records
Kingsmead Cricket Ground is Durban’s established international cricket venue on South Africa’s east coast. The ICC’s venue announcement names Kingsmead Cricket Ground in Durban as one of the South African grounds for the 2027 Men’s Cricket World Cup. The official schedule gives the ground six matches, starting with Sri Lanka against Bangladesh on 16 October. South Africa then meet Bangladesh on 19 October. Four later Super 7 slots are scheduled at Durban: B2 vs A3 on 3 November, A2 vs AB4 on 5 November, B1 vs AB4 on 8 November, and A1 vs B3 on 14 November. The bracketed national teams in the ICC fixture list are pre-seeded examples, not confirmed qualifiers.
The historical men’s ODI record shows a busy and varied venue. ESPNcricinfo lists 49 men’s ODIs at the ground through 24 September 2026. Forty-two were completed, while six had no result and one was abandoned. Among the completed matches, teams batting first won 22 and chasing teams won 19; one match was tied. Using completed matches only, the first-innings average is 251.43. The highest completed ODI innings is South Africa’s 372/6 against Australia in 2016, while India’s 91 against South Africa in 2006 is the lowest completed innings total.
Jacques Kallis leads the ground’s men’s ODI run list with 773 runs, and Shaun Pollock leads the wicket list with 24. These are ground-career records, not general international career totals. The numbers do not justify a permanent label for the pitch: scores and results vary across seasons, opponents, match conditions, and revised-overs games. Kingsmead should therefore be described as a long-used Durban venue with a substantial ODI history, rather than assigned one fixed playing-character description.
For clarity, the record identifier used here is ESPNcricinfo ground code 302. The same physical venue has also appeared under Kingsmead and Sahara Stadium Kingsmead names, with later commercial naming. New Victoria Falls is a separate ground and has no historical Kingsmead record.
2027 fixture count: 6 scheduled matches at this city’s ICC-designated ground. The official 57-fixture list has their dates. Group slots marked Qualifier A/B are undecided; all Super 7 country names are conditional.

St George’s Park, Gqeberha: Venue Guide And ODI Records
St George’s Park is a major cricket ground in Gqeberha, South Africa, and one of the 12 venues named by the ICC for the 2027 Men’s Cricket World Cup. The ICC’s venue announcement identifies this ground as “St George’s Park (Gqeberha),” separating it from the new Mosi-oa-Tunya International Cricket Stadium in Victoria Falls and from other South African venues. The venue is associated with Eastern Province and is also known in older records as Crusaders Ground. Its ground record code in ESPNcricinfo is 173.
The official 2027 schedule gives St George’s Park five matches. South Africa play England on 16 October in Group B. England then meet New Zealand on 23 October. The three Super 7 dates have slots B1 vs A3 on 26 October, B2 vs A2 on 9 November, and A1 vs AB4 on 11 November. New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Australia, India and England are pre-seeded examples for those slots, not guaranteed qualifiers.
The clean men’s ODI archive contains 43 match entries through 19 December 2023, including one no-result; therefore, 42 matches produced a winner. Teams batting first won 20, while chasing teams won 22. The highest verified men’s ODI innings total is Pakistan’s 335/6 against South Africa in 2002. The lowest completed innings is New Zealand’s 112 against Australia in 2003. Jacques Kallis is the leading ground run-scorer with 670, and Shaun Pollock is the leading wicket-taker with 20. These are ground-career totals, not a single-match score or wicket record.
The historical scoring pattern needs care. An independent scorecard archive reports first-innings averages of 215 in the 1990s, 238 in the 2000s, 243 in the 2010s, and 211 in the 2020s, but the last period contains only one ODI. This suggests changing match-era results, not a permanent “batting” or “bowling” pitch label. A single overall first-innings average is marked Not Verified here because available venue pages mix formats, genders, or inconsistent match totals. The figures above exclude T20Is, IPL or domestic List A games, women’s ODIs, and nearby or differently coded grounds.
2027 fixture count: 5 scheduled matches at this city’s ICC-designated ground. The official 57-fixture list has their dates. Group slots marked Qualifier A/B are undecided; all Super 7 country names are conditional.

Mangaung Oval, Bloemfontein: Venue Guide And ODI Records
Mangaung Oval is the ICC’s host ground in Bloemfontein, South Africa. The official 2027 fixture list assigns two group matches to the city: Pakistan against Qualifier A on 15 October and India against Qualifier A on 17 October. It also assigns three Super 7 slots there on 6, 10 and 13 November. Those later named teams are pre-seeded planning labels. Qualifier A is not yet a known country. The five dates are confirmed fixture slots, not confirmed final Super 7 pairings.
The ground has also appeared under commercial names, including OUTsurance Oval, Goodyear Park and Chevrolet Park. This guide uses the exact Mangaung Oval ODI record, Howstat ground code 080, rather than a city-wide set of scorecards. Its overview lists 34 men’s ODIs, with 15 wins by teams batting first, 17 by chasing sides, one tie and one no-result. Cricbuzz lists 36 games, so the overall count differs across providers. The table states the Howstat scope and does not mix figures from the two lists.
England’s 399/9 against South Africa in February 2016 is the highest completed men’s ODI team total on the checked ground list. Zimbabwe’s 78 all out against South Africa in October 2018 is the lowest. Jacques Kallis has the most recorded ODI runs at Mangaung Oval, 377. Shaun Pollock leads the wicket count with 21. These are ground-specific career totals, not a list of players expected to appear in 2027.
No completed-match-only first-innings average is used here. Howstat prints an innings-level average of 250, but its displayed denominator does not establish the same completed-game scope as the win split. Writing 250 as an exact average of the 32 wins would misstate the evidence. The near-even win numbers do not prove one fixed pitch type. Different teams and weather patterns shaped games over many years. Mangaung Oval’s clear World Cup role is to host both group cricket and later conditional slots; its historical ODI figures are context rather than a prediction or a ready-made 2027 pitch report.
2027 fixture count: 5 scheduled matches at this city’s ICC-designated ground. The official 57-fixture list has their dates. Group slots marked Qualifier A/B are undecided; all Super 7 country names are conditional.

Boland Park, Paarl: Venue Guide And ODI Records
Boland Park is the 2027 World Cup ground in Paarl, South Africa. The ICC names the venue in its host-ground announcement but uses the city name Paarl in its match list. Four dates appear on that list. Australia meet Qualifier A on 12 October. South Africa meet Qualifier B on 13 October. Australia face Pakistan on 22 October. A Super 7 slot is set for 4 November, with India and New Zealand shown as provisional seeded sides. Qualifier A and Qualifier B are not yet named teams.
For historical records, Boland Park and the older Boland Bank Park name point to the same exact ground. Howstat ground code 106 lists 17 completed men’s ODIs. Teams batting first won nine, chasing sides won seven, and one match finished in a tie. It reports an average first-innings score of 252. The sample is far smaller than that at several older South African venues, so nine wins compared with seven do not support a strong, permanent pitch label.
South Africa’s 353/6 against Bangladesh in October 2017 is the highest completed team total in the checked ground record. Canada’s 36 against Sri Lanka in February 2003 is the lowest. Heinrich Klaasen leads the venue’s men’s ODI career run list with 289 runs. Andile Phehlukwayo leads the wicket list with 10. The low total came in a World Cup match, but that one match does not say what every future Paarl pitch will do.
This guide separates ODI records from T20I, domestic List A and women’s cricket. It also separates the Paarl venue from any ground elsewhere in the Cape Winelands. The fixtures and the old records answer different questions: the ICC list says who may play here and when; the Howstat and ground-career tables show what happened here before October 2026. The November Super 7 match only takes its currently named teams if qualification and seeding work out that way. Treat any detailed 2027 pitch forecast as a later, match-specific report rather than a claim derived from one average.
2027 fixture count: 4 scheduled matches at this city’s ICC-designated ground. The official 57-fixture list has their dates. Group slots marked Qualifier A/B are undecided; all Super 7 country names are conditional.

Buffalo Park, KuGompo City: Venue Guide And ODI Records
Buffalo Park is the South African venue identified by the ICC for KuGompo City, formerly East London. The ICC’s venue announcement lists Buffalo Park among the eight South African grounds for the 2027 Men’s Cricket World Cup. The schedule announcement confirms four matches here: New Zealand v Bangladesh on 12 October, Australia v Afghanistan on 18 October, Afghanistan v Qualifier A on 21 October, and a conditional B1 vs B3 Super 7 slot on 29 October (New Zealand and Sri Lanka are pre-seeded examples). These fixtures make Buffalo Park a group-stage and Super Seven venue, rather than a knockout venue.
The historical record is substantial but must be read as a record of this exact ground, not of the wider city. Howstat’s ODI ground code 107 lists 26 matches from December 1992 to March 2023. Twenty-three were completed; three were abandoned, so the abandoned games are excluded from win splits and batting-first averages. Among completed matches, teams batting first won 11 and teams batting second won 12. Howstat reports an average first-innings score of 204. The highest completed team total is South Africa’s 369 for 6 against Bangladesh in 2017. The lowest completed total is England’s 115 all out against South Africa in 1996.
The leading ground run-scorer is South Africa’s Jacques Kallis, with 409 ODI runs. Shaun Pollock leads the ground’s ODI wicket list with 19 wickets. Those are career aggregates at Buffalo Park, not the players’ overall international totals. The results show both successful defence and successful chasing, so they do not justify calling the pitch permanently batting-friendly, bowling-friendly, fast, or slow. Conditions and match circumstances changed across more than three decades.
For 2027, the venue’s renamed city label creates a useful research caution. Historical databases generally call it Buffalo Park, East London, while the ICC uses KuGompo City. ESPNcricinfo’s current ground record identifier is 931 and also shows a KuGompo spelling variant. This profile therefore treats the names as the same venue only where the exact ground identifiers and men’s ODI records align. It excludes T20, IPL, List A, women’s cricket, nearby grounds, and the new Victoria Falls stadium, which has no historical Buffalo Park record.
2027 fixture count: 4 scheduled matches at this city’s ICC-designated ground. The official 57-fixture list has their dates. Group slots marked Qualifier A/B are undecided; all Super 7 country names are conditional.

Zimbabwe World Cup 2027 Venues
Zimbabwe has Harare Sports Club, Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo and Mosi-oa-Tunya International Cricket Stadium in Victoria Falls. These are three different grounds. Victoria Falls does not inherit their ODI records.
Harare Sports Club, Harare: Venue Guide And ODI Records
Harare Sports Club is one of Zimbabwe’s three confirmed 2027 World Cup venues. Its long men’s ODI history makes it useful for records research, but it must not be mixed with Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo or the new Victoria Falls ground. Older listings may call this venue Salisbury Sports Club. The exact-ground key used here is Howstat ground code 026, also identified as ESPNcricinfo ground 260.
The ICC fixture list assigns four group matches to Harare. Zimbabwe play Australia on 15 October and Pakistan on 19 October. New Zealand meet Qualifier B on 17 October, while England face the same unresolved slot on 20 October. Qualifier B is a placeholder, not a team name. There are no Super 7 or final fixtures assigned to Harare in the current 57-row schedule.
Howstat’s ground overview shows 197 men’s ODI matches and reports a first-innings average of 228. It prints 91 wins for teams batting first and 100 for chasing sides, plus one tie and four no-results. There is a count problem: those outcome categories do not add up to its displayed total. Its separate match list reaches 200 entries, while Cricbuzz displays 214. We present the overview numbers as provider-reported figures, not as a fully reconciled sample, and do not compute win percentages from them.
Some striking exact-ground records can still be named. Zimbabwe made 408/6 against the United States in June 2023, the highest listed total. Zimbabwe’s 35 against Sri Lanka in April 2004 is the lowest completed innings. Sikandar Raza leads the ground ODI run list with 2,297, and Prosper Utseya leads the wicket list with 52. These figures refer to Harare Sports Club, not to either of the other Zimbabwean host venues.
The huge high and low totals show why historical results are not a fixed pitch forecast. A future World Cup wicket may differ, and the teams playing on it will differ. For now, Harare’s strongest claims are its confirmed four group dates and its separately sourced high, low and career records. The disputed aggregate count remains clearly marked for a later scorecard-by-scorecard update.
2027 fixture count: 4 scheduled matches at this city’s ICC-designated ground. The official 57-fixture list has their dates. Group slots marked Qualifier A/B are undecided; all Super 7 country names are conditional.

Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo: Venue Guide And ODI Records
Queens Sports Club is Bulawayo’s established international cricket ground and one of Zimbabwe’s 2027 World Cup venues. The ICC’s venue announcement lists it specifically as “Queens Sports Club (Bulawayo),” separate from Harare Sports Club and the new Mosi-oa-Tunya International Cricket Stadium in Victoria Falls. This profile therefore concerns only the Bulawayo ground, not the Victoria Falls venue or another ground in the city.
The published 2027 schedule gives Queens Sports Club two group-stage matches. Zimbabwe meet Qualifier A in Bulawayo on 9 October 2027. Zimbabwe then play Afghanistan there on 11 October. The fixture announcement says Zimbabwe’s campaign begins in Bulawayo, making this a particularly important home venue during the group stage.
Howstat’s exact-ground ODI record page identifies the venue as Queens Sports Club, city Bulawayo, country Zimbabwe, and also records the historical name Queens Club. Its ground code is 073. The page lists 93 ODIs played from 15 December 1996 through 28 November 2024. It reports a highest team innings of 399/1 by Pakistan and a lowest completed team innings of 67 by Zimbabwe. Those figures describe a broad historical record, not a permanent pitch label. Scores and match conditions have varied across eras, opponents, weather, and competition contexts.
The same record shows 40 wins for teams batting first and 47 wins for teams batting second. There were three ties and three no-results; abandoned matches are not treated as completed games. The match-results list also shows the ground’s long international history, including Zimbabwe, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and other touring or neutral sides. In the verified all-time player tables, Hamilton Masakadza leads ground ODI run-scoring with 1,274 runs, while Heath Streak leads wicket-taking with 24 wickets.
These records are useful context for 2027, but they should not be read as a prediction. Queens Sports Club has hosted both successful chases and strong first-innings totals. The exact-ground code and source scope matter because online databases can combine formats or nearby venues unless the ODI ground record is selected explicitly.
2027 fixture count: 2 scheduled matches at this city’s ICC-designated ground. The official 57-fixture list has their dates. Group slots marked Qualifier A/B are undecided; all Super 7 country names are conditional.

Mosi-oa-Tunya International Cricket Stadium, Victoria Falls: Venue Guide And ODI Records
Mosi-oa-Tunya International Cricket Stadium is Zimbabwe’s new cricket venue in Victoria Falls. The International Cricket Council (ICC) lists it among the 12 grounds for the 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup. This confirms the target ground as a Zimbabwean World Cup venue, not a nearby ground in another city. The venue is associated with Victoria Falls, the tourism centre beside the famous waterfall and the wider Mosi-oa-Tunya landscape.
The ICC’s fixture announcement gives the stadium a clear tournament starting point. Zimbabwe will meet India there on Sunday, 24 October 2027, in the final Group A match. The published schedule also assigns three conditional Super 7 slots to Victoria Falls: A1 vs A2 on 28 October, A3 vs AB4 on 30 October, and A2 vs B1 on 1 November. India, Australia, Pakistan, England and New Zealand appear only as pre-seeded examples for those slots, not confirmed qualifiers. These fixtures make the ground one of the tournament’s most distinctive new venues.
The stadium was still a developing project in earlier independent reporting. ESPNcricinfo reported in August 2025 that the Fale Mosi-oa-Tunya International Cricket Stadium was being built, with completion expected in August 2026 and World Cup use planned. Cricket South Africa likewise describes the Mosi-oa-Tunya International Cricket Oval as a venue rising in Victoria Falls. Those accounts support its new-venue status, but they do not supply completed men’s ODI scorecards.
A search of exact-ground records found no completed men’s ODI match that could be verified by 2 October 2026. Therefore, there is no defensible ground average, highest or lowest completed total, win split, or career leader for runs or wickets. The absence of a record is not evidence that the pitch permanently favours batting, bowling, or chasing. Any such claim would be speculation until official ODI scorecards exist.
Naming needs care. The ICC uses “Mosi-oa-Tunya International Cricket Stadium”; other sources use “Fale Mosi-oa-Tunya International Cricket Stadium” or “Mosi-oa-Tunya International Cricket Oval.” This profile follows the ICC identity and records the ESPNcricinfo ground code as 1556782 and Cricbuzz venue code as 1438467. Historical statistics below are consequently marked Not Verified rather than borrowed from another Victoria Falls, Bulawayo, Harare, or similarly named ground.
2027 fixture count: 4 scheduled matches at this city’s ICC-designated ground. The official 57-fixture list has their dates. Group slots marked Qualifier A/B are undecided; all Super 7 country names are conditional.

Namibia World Cup 2027 Venue
Namibia hosts six games at Namibia Cricket Ground in Windhoek: three Super Series games followed by three group games. It is not the city’s older Wanderers Cricket Ground.
Namibia Cricket Ground, Windhoek: Venue Guide And ODI Records
Namibia Cricket Ground in Windhoek is Namibia’s newest major international cricket venue and a confirmed host ground for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027. The ICC’s venue announcement names it as the tournament’s only Namibian venue. The official fixture release assigns six matches here: three Super Series games on 2, 4 and 6 October, followed by England v Bangladesh on 8 October, Sri Lanka v Qualifier B on 10 October, and England v Sri Lanka on 13 October.
The ground’s recorded men’s ODI history is short. Howstat’s exact-ground register begins on 4 April 2026 and contains eight ODIs through 13 September 2026. Seven were completed; one, Namibia v Scotland on 6 April, ended without a result. Among completed matches, teams batting second won four and teams batting first won three. The completed first-innings average is 240.86, calculated after excluding the no-result innings.
The largest completed total is South Africa’s 348/6 against Namibia on 9 September 2026. The lowest completed innings total is Namibia’s 156 against South Africa on 13 September. J Hermann leads the ground’s ODI run aggregate with 247, while J T Brassell and R Trumpelmann share the wicket lead with 10 each. These are early records, not a settled long-term profile. The small sample shows both successful chases and strong totals, so it does not justify a permanent label such as “batting” or “bowling” pitch.
Visitors should distinguish this venue from Windhoek’s Wanderers Cricket Ground and United Cricket Club Ground. The newer Victoria Falls venue is a separate ground, and no historical ODI records from it are included here.
The 2027 Super Series gives this new venue an unusual opening role: it stages three matches before the 12-team group stage begins. Its small ODI sample should not be treated as equal to a ground with decades of scorecards. Qualification will decide the names behind QF1, QF2 and QF3.
2027 fixture count: 6 scheduled matches at this city’s ICC-designated ground. The official 57-fixture list has their dates. Group slots marked Qualifier A/B are undecided; all Super 7 country names are conditional.

Which Grounds Host The Semi-Finals And Final?
| Date (2027) | Match | Stadium | Host City |
|---|---|---|---|
| 17 November | Semi-Final 1 | Newlands Cricket Ground | Cape Town |
| 18 November | Semi-Final 2 | SuperSport Park | Tshwane (Centurion) |
| 21 November | Final | The Wanderers Stadium | Johannesburg |
The ICC’s detailed fixture list sets these dates and cities. The final has a 22 November reserve day if needed; a reserve day does not mean the final is scheduled twice.
How To Read These ODI Venue Records
A historical win split is not a pitch guarantee. A win can reflect team strength, toss choices and a single match’s conditions. A high total in one year and a low total in another show the range of past results, not a permanent batting or bowling label. These are men’s ODIs only. No IPL, T20I, domestic List A or women’s score has been added. Top run-scorer and top wicket-taker here mean historical careers at that exact stadium. They do not predict a 2027 playing XI.
Sample size and source scope matter. Windhoek has seven verified completed men’s ODIs in the checked record. Victoria Falls has no verified completed men’s ODI. Harare and several South African grounds have much longer but not always fully reconciled data histories. Where providers disagree, the individual ground table names the dataset instead of combining counts or inventing a common denominator. A deeper match-by-match pitch report for each venue can be added later; those future pages will be linked here only after publication.
Fixture labels also need care. The ICC pre-seeded seven Super 7 slots to aid planning. That does not qualify India, Australia or any other country in advance. The match’s date and city are assigned, but the team identity can change with group results. The group-stage Qualifier A and Qualifier B slots are also unresolved. The first semi-final is scheduled for Newlands on 17 November; the second for SuperSport Park on 18 November; the final is set for The Wanderers Stadium on 21 November.

Sources And Research Scope
Checked 2 October 2026. Host ground identities follow the ICC’s official 12-venue release. The 2027 fixture count for each city comes from the ICC’s full 57-match schedule. Individual venue sections link to exact-ground men’s ODI results and leaderboards in Howstat or ESPNcricinfo. Some Howstat, ESPNcricinfo and Cricbuzz counts differ because of distinct cutoff dates, no-results, abandoned games or unresolved provider scope. Not every discrepancy can be reconciled from an overview alone, so several averages are Not verified rather than guessed. The ICC’s separate schedule press-release summary conflicts with its detailed 57-row list on South Africa–New Zealand’s opening date/city; this guide follows the detailed list, which places that match in Cape Town on 9 October.
