Career story
Bhagat started playing cricket in Kurali. She joined an academy at about age 13. She first saw herself mainly as a batter.
Her coach later saw promise in her bowling. She then worked on both skills. She reached the Punjab under-19 side within three years.
She made her List A debut in the 2024–25 season. Her chances were limited at first. Her 2026 Queens Cup batting gave her a lift.
She scored 137 runs in five innings. Her strike rate was 153.93. She also hit six sixes in the event.
Bhagat then won the WPL Speed Queen under-23 event. Her top recorded speed was 105 kilometres per hour. That result helped bring her into the India A picture.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India named her in the India A one-day and multi-day squads in August 2026. She later played in the Australia A one-day series.
What role can she play?
Bhagat gives a team two skills. She can bowl with her right arm. She can also add runs with the bat.
Her pace is still developing. Her main bowling work includes line, length and the outswinger. An outswinger moves away from a right-hand batter.
For Mumbai Indians, she can grow as a pace option. Her batting also gives the side extra depth. That is a role description, not a claim about selection plans.
