VVS Laxman will be seen coaching Team India at the 2026 Asian Games. Laxman, the head of the BCCI Centre of Excellence, has been entrusted with the responsibility for the Indian men’s team. The 2026 Asian Games will be held in Aichi-Nagoya.
Team India’s head coach, Gautam Gambhir, will not be with this squad. The Asian Games schedule clashes with India’s home series against the West Indies. Consequently, the BCCI has devised a plan to split coaching duties. Laxman has previously served as India’s interim coach. He also coached India at the 2023 Asian Games.
