Team history
Royal Challengers Bengaluru joined the WPL at its launch in 2023. A turnaround over the following season culminated in a first title in 2024, when RCB defeated Delhi Capitals by eight wickets in the final. That trophy was the women's franchise's first WPL championship. Source
Their 2026 campaign added another title. Bengaluru chased Delhi's 203 for four in the final and won by six wickets, becoming the league's second two-time champion after Mumbai Indians. The 2024 and 2026 trophies shown above belong to the WPL team, not the men's IPL side. Source
Ahead of the 2027 auction, RCB officially retained 13 players and released four. Ellyse Perry was among the retained names, although the club's earlier 2026 season-opening list reflected her withdrawal and replacement. A pre-auction retention list is not a completed squad for the next season. Source
